A big thank you to everyone for their
support, financial or otherwise, for John's bike ride from Land's End to
John O'Groats. The princely sum of £7,000 was raised for
Action Medical Research which funds
research into children's illnesses. |

Pitshanger Lane Day
took place on Saturday 19th June
2010 to give the Village residents an opportunity to acquire some of the
selection of "Love Pitshanger Lane" goods and support
the local traders who help make the community
what it is - residents were delighted with the treats on offer from all the
local businesses, including cupcakes, Jammie Dodgers and champagne! Visit the traders' website at
www.mypitshanger.co.uk
for more information on our campaign - and remember -
I love
Pitshanger Lane - and I'm sure you do too! |

Disability Means Business Awards Ceremony
took place on Saturday 5th June
2010 with awards presented by John
Sergeant to local businesses Director's Cut, John Martin Estates
and Mirage Opticians in recognition of their
contribution to the disabled community. Pitshanger Lane
was chosen as the venue for this
important event because Pitshanger Lane traders have taken
the lead on take up of the Local Shops Access Fund to assist all disabled
persons in the community to have full access to our range of businesses and
the Ealing Centre for Independent Living wished to recognise this. An
enjoyable afternoon was had by all - with African dancers and music and
plenty of food and drink on offer! |

Pitshanger Traders'
Day
in
support of Meadow House Hospice
took place on Saturday 19th September
2009 and
John Martin Estates was again proud to sponsor
this vital community charity and that the Traders also support
this local organisation. Once again, the "Buy A Brick" Campaign where individuals sponsor a brick
for £5 each to raise £250,000 for a new therapy room was available
and we currently await confirmation whether your support has surpassed the
incredible level of donations of last year of in excess of £2000 towards the therapy room. |
