It was announced last night that, with effect from today, Wednesday 13th May, estate and letting agencies can reopen. A little bit of notice might have been good!!

It has been decided that lifting the restrictions of lockdown for agents is something that is necessary to start the property market once again and get the economy going by allowing ongoing sales and lettings transactions to continue and reach completion.

Property viewings by applicants are also now permitted as are visits by agents to conduct market appraisal valuations.

However, strict guidance MUST be followed and social distancing of two metres MUST be observed. Appointments must be made for any contact with us, including a visit to our offices. Please therefore contact us by one of the usual methods - telephone (020 8998 3333) or email (jmesales@johnmartinesates.com) if you wish to make an appointment to view a property, for us to carry out a market appraisal valuation or to see us at the office.

We will review matters over the next few weeks but, initially, John and Rhian will continue to operate the business from home where possible and have a phased reopening of the office.
